Öoulg, ridiculously early demo
A downloadable interactive artwork for Windows, macOS, and Linux
I have started making modern art in the form of a video game. This is a ridiculously early demo of the game/artwork, but it still shows atleast a bit of what I have in mind.
The entirety of the game, will be the artwork, and the name of the artwork will be Öoulg.
The theme of this game/artwork, is the concept of this very bizarre type of emotions:
Emotions that can be felt but that cannot be described/identified of what the emotions actually are. You can't put your finger on what exactly that the emotion that you are feeling actually is, and the emotion feels foreign to the conscious mind, as if the emotion is out of this world.
These bizarre emotions exist within a space of the subconscious that is reached through some form of dissociation.
The difference between "regular" emotions and these unidentifiable foreign emotions, is like the difference between figurative art and abstract art. "Regular" emotions can be identified, such as "cheerful", "hopeful", "motivated", "melancholy", etc, which isn't the case for the unidentifiable emotions.
Therefore, if "regular" emotions would be described as concrete emotions, then the unidentifiable emotions would be described as abstract emotions.
I know that the abstract emotions actually exist, because I have experienced them in my very strange dreams that I have had during sleep. The memories of my dreams, is where I got this idea of an art theme from.
